Returning Student Registration

This page is for registering a RETURNING student.

Step #1:
sign in to parent portal

Click to launch PowerSchool

You can retrieve your Registration Gateway login inside of ParentPortal. For ParentPortal username/password help, click "forgot password," and check your spam folder.

Documents Required for returning student Registration

Step #2:
Complete registration for each student

Once you are logged in ParentPortal, select the registration option from the menu on the left side of the screen. Once you retrieve your username and password, click on the link to launch the Registration Gateway. The screen will look similar to the one below:

Confirmation of New Student Registration

Congratulations, you have completed the registration process for returning students! We encourage you to visit our Parents page, where you can find helpful information about grades, policies, transportation, and more! Once your student's registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from

Out-of-District Transfers

Petition to Transfer Student to Another School District (Optional)

This form is only for students residing within the boundaries of OSSD, but attending another school district.

Petition for Enrollment of Out-of-District Student When Parent is OSSD Employee

This form is to be used for annual enrollment/re-registration for students whose parents are instructional employees of OSSD, but live outside of the district limits.

Tuition Enrollment Program (TEP)

The Board of Education of Ocean Springs School District (OSSD) has determined to admit to its high school on a tuition basis a defined number of qualified nonresident students interested in pursuing a rigorous course of study prerequisite to admission to the OSSD International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) or the Advanced Placement Capstone Program. The District has established the following eligibility requirements or criteria in determining whether to admit a nonresident Tuition Enrollment Program (TEP) student to be eligible to apply in a student’s freshman year (or sophomore year if openings are available) for admission to the District's International Baccalaureate  (IB) Diploma Program or the Advanced Placement Capstone.  Please see the policy and the documents below for information or call 228-875-0333 if you have more questions.
