Media Relations

Ocean Springs School District recognizes the important role the news media has in providing accurate and timely information to the community concerning issues and events that occur in our schools. OSSD is committed to providing up-to-date information about the district and its activities in a timely and appropriate manner to the news media.

It is the intention of OSSD and the responsibility of OSSD Communications to maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning with as few disruptions as possible. OSSD happily welcomes the news media and will coordinate access to campus, students, & staff when it is not an intrusion to the learning environment. 

The safety and security of students and staff members remains the top priority for OSSD. Any member of the news media who shows up to campus unannounced or without permission from OSSD Communications will be denied access to the campus and its students and staff.

All requests for access to OSSD schools, staff, and students must be granted prior permission by Trey Brennan, Director of Communications.
