Sue Green Named Principal of Pecan Park Elementary

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss (OSSD) -- The Ocean Springs School District Board of Trustees voted on Tuesday to approve the recommendation of Mrs. Sue Green to become the next principal of Pecan Park Elementary School.

Green returns to PPES after spending the past three years as an assistant principal at OSHS. Before OSHS, Mrs. Green was the Assistant Principal of PPES for nine years.

Prior to joining OSSD in 2012, Green worked in the classroom teaching first grade, second grade, and fifth grade, before becoming a lead teacher in 2011.

Green enters year 21 in education on July 1, her 13th with OSSD! She holds a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership & Research from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as a master's and bachelor's, also from Southern Miss. Green is also a graduate of St. Martin High School

She and her husband, Troy, have two children, Ava and Alex. Ava is a 2024 graduate of OSHS and Alex is entering his sophomore year at OSHS.
