OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss (OSSD) -- Dr. Jennifer Necaise, Principal of Ocean Springs Upper Elementary School, has been accepted into the Mississippi School Boards Association Prospective Superintendent Leadership Academy, one of only 30 educators across the state.

The program is designed to prepare potential candidates for superintendent positions in Mississippi’s public schools and lasts approximately one year. The academy provides intensive in-depth preparation for the challenging job of being a public school superintendent.

“The OSSD Community is fortunate in our ability to attract and retain great leaders for our schools,” Dr. Coleman, Superintendent of OSSD, said. “Dr. Necaise serves as a shining example of servant leadership and will be an excellent prospective superintendent participant for the MSBA program. We are excited for our staff and students to be the beneficiaries of her continued improvement as a  leader.”

Dr. Necaise was one of only 30 educators in Mississippi selected to the academy and will attend monthly training sessions that will be essential to the role of superintendent. OSSD is extremely excited for Dr. Necaise to have the opportunity to showcase her talent to the state leaders.
