Greyhound Stadium Closed to the Public
Please pardon our progress! Due to ongoing lighting upgrades, Greyhound Stadium is not available for public use until further notice. As a reminder, OSSD facilities are not open for general public use, and an approved facility use agreement with the district is required prior to use.
In an effort to keep district facilities in excellent condition and safe for OSSD student-athletes, OSSD athletic facilities are not open for free use to the general public. While OSSD welcomes the use of district-owned facilities by the community outside of school hours, an approved facility use agreement with the district is required prior to use.
While this is not a new rule or policy (originally established in 2003), there has been an increase in unauthorized use of OSSD athletic facilities, and recent events require a reminder of the district’s facility use policy.
Use of any OSSD athletic facility without an approved facility use agreement is prohibited and considered trespassing. Outside facility use should not interfere with any school or school-affiliated functions (i.e. practices, games, school plays, etc.).
Public school buildings, grounds, and equipment are financed and maintained for the sole purpose of promoting and advancing the academic and athletic education of OSSD students. Priority of usage is given first to campus and various district-related activities.
OSSD strives to provide the highest quality educational and athletic facilities for its students. Facility use agreements allow the district to provide ongoing maintenance and improvements to the facilities, as well as ensuring the safety of all students and staff.
