The Greyhound Boys Basketball Program consists of 9th grade, junior varsity and varsity teams competing in Class 6A-Region 7 of the MHSAA. Through dedication and hard work, the Greyhounds have advanced to the state playoffs in three of the last four years winning the Region 7 Championship in 2018. The Greyhounds have also been named an MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team for four consecutive seasons.

OSHS Lady Greyhounds

The Lady Greyhounds are a junior varsity and varsity basketball program that competes at a 6A level of the Mississippi High School Athletics Association (MHSAA) which is the largest classification in Mississippi.
Despite winning their last district title in 2012, the Lady Greyhounds have won at least 17 games the last three seasons (65% winning percentage), played in the district championship game, and have advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

The Lady Greyhounds look to make another playoff push in the 2017-2018 season as they will strive to make it to Jackson to play in the "Big House" for a state championship.
